How to Build an Art School included as part of THIS IS AN ART SCHOOL with Central Saint Martins at Tate Exchange, January 2017
THIS IS AN ART SCHOOL, a temporary art school run by Central Saint Martins students, which welcomes anyone to enrol as long as they commit to action exploring what the future of arts education might look like.

How to Build an Art School became both a "lesson plan" and a durational performance lasting five hours.

Visitors were invited to participate in building an alternative art school inspired by dens and makeshift structures, using found materials derived from wild and urban areas.  All participants are artists who are constructing and producing their own meanings for this art school. It is a playground site where meanings of the art school den alter, change and slip though the placing, folding and layering of found materials over time.
